Questa è una tavola pubblicata sul 4° volume della serie Dinosauri di Jaca Book/Abbeville Press.

Scipionyx samniticus insegue un piccolo mammifero (non chiedetemi esattamente quale genere), che si direbbe piuttosto determinato a non farsi mangiare, a giudicare dall'impegno che sta mettendo nella corsa.

La principale ragion d'essere di questo disegno è che – come forse saprete – non mi è stato possibile disegnare in prima persona la storia a fumetti del 4° volume, che vede appunto come protagonista Scipionyx. Marco Signore ci teneva comunque a vedere il "suo" dinosauro ritratto da me almeno una volta, e così è stato accontentato.

This painting is on the 4th volume of the series "Dinosaurs", published by Jaca Book/Abbeville Press.

Scipionyx samniticus chasing a small mammal (don't ask me exactly which genus is), whom seems to be pretty determined to not be catched by the theropod, according to the evident devotion it's putting in its run.

The main raison d'etre of this plate is – as you may know – I wasn't able to draw the graphic novel of this book in first person (which is just about Scipionyx).
Marco Signore however wished to see at least one painting of "his" dinosaur by me, so here's the painting.
